You can exit a fund for any of the following reasons:
- You wish to re align your portfolio, i.e. move the fund into a different fund based on your asset allocation.
- Eg, you need to reduce equity funds as you have already crossed a 60% allocation based on your risk profile.
- You really need the money for a goal that is due.
- The fund has underperformed vs the market for a long period of time. In this case this fund has been on par with average category. There are some better performing funds.
