For you as an investor there is no significance. This is a mere identification number that the ISIN Organization provides. Known as the International Securities Identification Numbers, it is a 12 character code that uniquely identifies a security (structure is defined in ISO 6166), such as bonds, commercial paper, equities and warrants.
