Shall I exit from the DSP BlackRock Tax Saver mutual fund in the current scenario?

Before you read the third point that directly answers your question, check out the first two.

You can exit a fund for any of the following reasons:

  1. You wish to re align your portfolio, i.e. move the fund into a different fund based on your asset allocation.
    1. Eg, you need to reduce equity funds as you have already crossed a 60% allocation based on your risk profile.
  2. You really need the money for a goal that is due.
  3. The fund has underperformed vs the market for a long period of time. In this case this fund has been on par with average category. There are some better performing funds.
