Among the 32 cases where two year returns were zero or lower, extending the SIP to five years removed every negative outcome, and nearly 69 per cent ended with double digit annual returns. Across all 50 cases, about 72 per cent crossed double digits by year five.<\/p>\n
The reason is simple maths. When prices fall, your fixed instalment buys more units, and those extra units lift returns when markets recover. Early years feel slow because the invested base is still small. So keep the instalment running, review the fund yearly, and judge outcomes only after five years.<\/p>\n
