Is there any documented proof of compounded returns on a mutual fund investment?

The published Net Asset Value from the fund house is a good proof on how the fund has performed, when compared to a previous date.

Direct Plan NAVs always grow faster than regular plans. Even though the NAV of direct plan may appear ‘higher’.

Here is an example here:

SBI Blue Chip Fund – Regular Plan – Growth

Direct Plan: 18.7%

NAVs:

12-Mar-2018: 39.3005

13-Mar-2013: 16.6575

Regular Plan: 17.7%

NAVs:

12-Mar-2018: 37.5171

13-Mar-2013: 16.6334
